Albania tour - Tirana, Durres, Elbasan
The tour will start from the agreed place in the morning hours. Transport with modern tourist bus / mini bus. The group will be lead the professional tourist guide. Travel through Struga and from the Kafasan border crossing we will enter in Albania. The eastern part of Albania is predominantly mountainous. Moving down from the mountain Jablanica to the valley of river Skimbun - which is considered to be physical boundary between the two Albanian cultures and tribes - Tosca and Gega. We will pass through by several towns and villages - Hotolishte, Librazhd. First city in which we will stop and make a short break will be Elbasan. This town is one of the bigger cities in Albania with over 100,000 inhabitants. We will visit the medieval fortress dating from the XV century, in which today are building modern hotel and restaurant. The tour continues to the capital of Albania - Tirana - most modern city in Albania. Sightseeing of the city center: Square Skender Beg, National Museum, Opera, government building and banks, around the square. A coffee break in the center of Tirana. Continue to Durres - resort at the Adriatic Sea, which is remote from Tirana 30 min drive. Enjoying the Mediterranean climate of the city, walk and sightseeing of the center – Venetian Fortress, amphitheater - one of the largest in the Balkans. Possibility for organized a lunch in the restaurant by the sea - our recommendation is to try the fresh fish from the sea or seafood dishes. Brief stop by the sea, where you can see the long sandy beach and holidaymakers enjoying the sun, but also hotels, apartments that, were built just 10 years ago. Driving back to Macedonia. Arrival in Ohrid in the evening hours.
