Byzantium Empire is one of the empires that have left enduring mark in the history of the mankind. Encounter of two different cultures Greek-Roman and Oriental culture have made Byzantium empire and from that encounter was born Christianity. With this tour you will have a chance to visit the most important cities of the former empire and their cultural achievements.
Day 1: SKOPJE
Arrival in Skopje. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner. Free time.
Day 2: SKOPJE - SOFIA
City sightseeing of Skopje. After that departure to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Accommodation in hotel, dinner.
Day 3: SOFIA - PLOVDIV
City sightseeing of Sofia, including: the cathedral church of Aleksandar Nevski; the Parliament house; the Central Square etc. After sightseeing, departure to Plovdiv, one of the most beautiful and the second largest cities in Bulgaria. Arrival in the late afternoon hours, accommodation in hotel, dinner
Day 4: PLOVDIV
Breakfast, sightseeing of Plovdiv, including: the old city; ethnographic museum; the ancient theatre; the Jewish neighborhood etc... Can be organized special folklore evening.
Day 5: PLOVDIV - ISTANBUL
Breakfast, departure to Istanbul, Turkey. Arrival in the late afternoon hours. Accommodation in hotel, dinner, free time.
Day 6: ISTANBUL
City sightseeing of Istanbul. The tour includes: Top Kapi Museum, the Sultan Palace; The Church of St. Sofia; The Sultan Ahmed Mosque (The Blue Mosque); Covered bazaar; The ancient hippodrome etc... A visit to one of the national music halls.
Day 7: ISTANBUL- KAVALA
Breakfast, departure to Kavala, Greece. Arrival in the afternoon hours. Accommodation and dinner. Free time.
Day 8: KAVALA - OHRID
Breakfast, sightseeing of Kavala. Lunch. Departure to Ohrid. Arrival, accommodation in hotel and dinner.
Day 9: OHRID
Breakfast. Sightseeing of Ohrid: church St. Sophia, National museum, antique theater, church Bogorodica Perivleptos, Samoil fortress, Plaosnik, Kaneo. Overnight.
Day 10: OHRID - OHRID AIRPORT
Breakfast. Driving to Ohrid’s airport. End of the program.
