Classical Greece (8 days/7 nights)
The cradle of western civilization, Ancient Greece, even today, still attracts everyone's attention for the life of the great conquers, thinkers, poets, philosophers and certainly, the mythical creatures. Only the thought of ancient Athens, Sparta, Thermopiles, Delphi, Epidaurus, Micenya is a reason enough to organize this spectacular trip in the times past.
Day 1: OHRID
Arrival in Ohrid. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner.
Day 2: OHRID - THESSALONICA
After breakfast, departure to Greece. On the way, visit to the city of Edessa, famous for its waterfalls and a visit to ancient Pela, the birth place of Alekasander the Great. Departure to Thessalonica. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner. Free time.
Day 3: THESSALONICA - ATHENS
Breakfast and sightseeing tour of Thessalonica. Departure to Athens. On the way, visit the locality of Thermopiles (the famous battle place between 1.000.000 Persians against 300 Spartans). An unforgettable visit to Delphi (the holiest place of the ancient world), including the Temple of Apollo and the ancient center of the world. Departure to Athens. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner.
Day 4: ATHENS
After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Athens. The city tour includes: Archeological Museum; Sintagma and Omonia Square; Old City of Athens, Plaka; Acropolis; Parliament House, etc... Can be organized special Greek Night in the old part of the city Plaka.
Day 5: ATHENS ARGOLIDA
After breakfast, the full day trip to Argolida, an area south of Athens, famous for its archeological sights. Visit to the Corinthian channel, the city of Nauplion, Mycenae, the city of the famous king Agamemnon, familiar from the War of Troy. Visit the most impressive ancient theater of Greece Epidaurus, famous for its acoustics. Organized lunch in one of the national restaurants nestled in the beautiful olive valleys. Return back to Athens. Free time.
Day 6: ATHENS OHRID
After breakfast, departure for Ohrid. Break for lunch and visit to the springs of Daphne. Arrival in late afternoon hours. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner.
Day 7: OHRID
Breakfast. Sightseeing of Ohrid: church St. Sophia, National museum, antique theater, church Bogorodica Perivleptos, Samoil fortress, Plaosnik, Kaneo. Overnight.
Day 8: OHRID – OHRID AIRPORT
Breakfast. Driving to Ohrid’s airport. End of the program.
