Serbia (7 days/6 nights)
Serbia is located in the center of the Balkans and it’s a crossroad where different cultures have meet through centuries. Its capital city – Belgrade – is dynamic and vibrant city. There, maybe, the most is felt the encounter of Europe and Asia. Visit of the city of Novi Sad, mountain Zlatibor, where you can feel the rural and idyllic life of the county side, as well the hospitality and delicious cuisine of Serbian people.
DAY 1: BELGRADE
Arrival of the group at the Belgrade’s airport. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in the hotel. Time for individual activities. Dinner. Overnight.
DAY 2: BELGRADE
Breakfast. After the breakfast follows the sightseeing tour of Belgrade with professional tour guide. Belgrade is one of the oldest cities in this part of Europe. Remains of the turbulent history of the city can be seen at the fortress, which dominates in the city and overlooks the 2 rivers, Danube and Sava. Visit of the fortress of Kalemegdan, museum of Nikola Tesla, visit of Tito’s memorial house – president of Socialist Yugoslavia. Follows short boat ride on the river of Sava and panoramic view of Belgrade from the boat. Organized dinner in bohemian part of the city – Skadarlija. Back to the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 3: BELGRADE – NOVI SAD - BELGRADE
Breakfast. After the breakfast, visit the Novi Sad – economical, cultural and political center in province of Vojvodina. Novi Sad is strategically located on Danube river and you can feel the Hungarian influence in the architecture of the city. Sightseeing of the bridges on Danube, as well the charming and colorful city center. The tour will continue to monastery Krusedol with its unique architecture with Baroque and Byzantium influence. Organized lunch at Perko’s farm. Visit of the Patrovaradin’s fortress, from where you can have wonderful view of the city. Return to the hotel in Belgrade. Overnight.
DAY 4: BELGRADE – AVALA, OPLENAC - BELGRADE
Breakfast. After the breakfast, we are going on visit of mountain Avala and Oplenac-natural reservoir in Topola. Visit of the memorial monument of the dynasty Karagorgevic and the house of the king Peter I. Peter I was a leader of the first uprising against the Turks in 1804 and founder of the Karagorgevic dynasty. Lunch at rural ambient. Follows visit of the monastery Vracevshnica. Return to the hotel in Belgrade. Dinner. Overnight.
DAY 5: BELGRADE – VILLAGE KNICH
Breakfast. Visit of the village of Knich, famous tourist village. Visit of the “Hidden church” from XIII century, lake Gruza and the rock Borac, which is remaining of the medieval fortress. Lunch at the village. Tour continues to the mountain of Zlatibor. Visit of the village Golemo Selo (Big Village), museum under open sky. Overnight in the village.
DAY 6: VILLAGE KNICH – ZLATIBOR – MOKRA GORA – DRVEN GRAD
Breakfast. After the breakfast, go to the mountain Zlatibor. Accommodation in hotel in Zlatibor. After the short break we will have drive on “Sergunska Osumka” and the train “Ciro”. Living for Mokra Gora and visit the city of the famous movie director Emir Kosturica-Drven Grad.
DAY 7: ZLATIBOR – SIROGOJNO, STOPICA - ZLATIBOR
Breakfast. After the breakfast visit of the village of Sirogojno with its traditional and authentic houses and house ware. There in quiet and very unique ambient, we will have short break for tea or coffee. Visit of the cave Stopica, which is biggest in Serbia, in which are marked trails for exploring the cave. Back to the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 8: ZLATIBOR - BELGRADE
Breakfast. After the breakfast go to Belgrade airport. End of the program.
